Re: launch position

I'm also a little confused on where the official launch position is. Is the back elbow starting to lower, or is it already down at the side? I take it the bathead is in the correct swing plane. And hips are already opened a bit. What about the shoulders, are they still closed and shrugged, or starting to open? And has the heel touched, or still at toe touch?

Hi,

The launch position is often thrown around, and different position are often described as the launch position. It depends on how you define the launch position, which isn't well defined when we look around and listen to others idea on the launch position. The idea of the launch position is good, the definition of the launch position is poor. Just how many hitters launch the swing with the elbow down?

Let's hear some ideas on what is the launch position.
