Doug...NO, hands and hips....if the hands and hips are correct....just as the head leads the body, THE HANDS AND HIPS WILL LEAD THE SHOULDERS. Doug, 2nd....in relation to a rotational swing, the hands are in front of the barrel in relation to the body. ONLY when PALM UP EXTENSION HAPPENS, which is after contact, DOES THE BARREL MOVE AHEAD OF THE HANDS. The relation to the hands must change just like you must hit the ball in different areas in relation to an inside pitch a pitch down the middle and a pitch away. DOUG>>>if the barrel was in front of the hands it WOULD ALWAYS BE A FOUL BALL....make since.

Doug...no argument!! I appreciate your beliefs....however I must add that as long as the hitter has a palm up relationship through the plane of the ball, the barrel is behind the hands! It correlates to the rotation of the hips....now once the hitter goes into palm up extension does the bat move in front of the hands....so maybe Doug your thoughts and mine are the same....as I see great palm up extension in the Robinson clip! I also contend that this same palm up extension should happen on balls down the middle and on balls away....This creates the whip or maybe its the THT...that Jack is talking about......maybe we are saying the same thing...just in different ways.
