> Hi, this may simply be a string of stupid luck, but I have hit my foot after a near miss swing (and a few fairly solid hits) every single batting practice for a month now. Not to mention that I almost broke my foot once, I am concerned this is the result of a bad practice. Is my stance just too low and wide or is there another theory? Or bad luck (this never happened once as a kid/teenager in all my years).

It's simple your rolling your wrists over way to soon. when you make contact you should have one palm up and one palm down. There are many drills to correct this. My favorite one that I use is i get a batting tee or someone to throw soft toss to me. Get ready like your just going to take normal swings when you grab the bat grab it wiht your lead hand but your top hand needs to stay open rest the bat inbetween your index finger and thumb on your top hand.

Hope this works for you, it did for me
