Re: Straightening out foul balls

Posted by: john (ajjdad@hotmail.com) on Thu May 8 12:25:32 2008

Typically, a lot of ground balls, is an indication of either being early in the swing or, rolling the top hand, which will induce a ground ball as well. The opposite is true regarding balls being fouled off straight back; he's late. Most swing and misses are the result of swinging under the ball, your son just needs to quicken up. My belief is that if someone has re-ocurring problems at the plate, it un-doubtedly can be traced back to a break down in swing mechanics.
Another words; he's late for a REASON.
Hope this helped.

John.
