hip rotation

Posted by: dougdinger () on Sat Dec 4 18:17:52 2004

Just watched the video for the 1st time and found it very imformative. I can definately see now how a CHP is the base for a good rotational swing and how you can't get to THT without it.
My question is for Jack:You have stated several times on this site and the video that at contact the shoulders will open to about 105-110 degrees for an inside pitch and a little less for an outside pitch to allow the hands to reach out more.
But I can't recall you ever mentioning how far the hips rotate. How far do they rotate at contact for an inside pitch and how far is too far? Should it be the same as the shoulders?
