I think it's important to remember that Williams' approaches were exactly that: his approaches. Everyone has a different approach and a different style. I teach angles (which are generally irrefutable) of contact. How you take the bat to the point of contact, I believe (and it is soley my approach) is the key fundamental goal. I sometimes get deeply technical but how you got the bat to the point of contact is the only thing that matters. How your swing looks is nothing. Consistent contact using consistent mechanics (with minor adjustments as needed) maximizing the abilities of each hitter is the key.
