i said " jack, do you feel a hitter making the bat-head first be accelerated back toward the catcher then around toward the ball is a natural or unnatural move?...how reasonable do you think it is for a hitter on the one hand instinctively want to strike a yarget that is in front of him but on the other hand first be thinking that he has to make the bat go in the opposite direction?
> and not to second guess your research over the years, but.....yes, you have evidence in the clips you have, and for that matter, we all see the same thing you do about the knob to the catcher thing....but what we do not see, and what i think you do not see is what specific mental or physcial technique is the big league hitters using to accomplish this? ...if i am wrong, i am wrong, but how many of you out there who believe in the knob to the catcher thing (which i do)honestly believe that you, in an actual swing, consciously , in about 1/10ths of second take into account in your swing calculations that you must first move the knob toward the catcher?...and jack, it's one thing to view a clip and witness the ohysical event that is taking place, but have you ever actually discussed my mental concerns (and don't take that term the wrong way!) with ANY professional hitter?"
