> That is “"angels on the head of a pin." For a batter to attain maximum bat speed, torque is applied from initiation to contact. THT just signifies that the top-hand is the most active hand in applying torque during initiation. BHT just signifies the bottom-hand is the most active hands in applying torque later in the swing.

I find it hard to understand why breaking up the torque applied into to two segments (THT & BHT) troubles them so much.

>>>I couldn't agree with you more, Jack. We have come to believe (through your site and our own experience)that the appropriate INITIATION of the swing is the hyper-critical importance of THT. No one (certainly not your site) says you can't hit the ball well without THT, but THT gets the batter his/her MAXIMUM bat speed at contact by giving it the earliest possible start. Even with "linear" hitting the right hand eventually comes into play, THT simply gets it going at the earliest possible point in the swing. How can anyone argue that the earlier you begin generating bat speed, the better? We call it the "Zero to Sixty", meaning, we want to get the bat to contact point with the most speed as early as possible. THT is The Truth on that point, as proven repeatedly and immediately on the field.

Ironically, there are recent clips on the "dissenting" site showing clear views of THT, as used by Guerrero (offered on other points). The dissenters simply refuse to acknowledge its existence, probably because it would be awkward for them commercially to admit the existence of a swing componant they didn't account for in their products or their expositions.

Again, the proof is there to be found on the practice field. I would think that anyone truly interested in advancing batting mechanics would be willing to test THT out there.
