I think the thumb cue can be quite a good one.From what I have seen of Nyman's
demonstrations,esp "Iron Nyman" 2 and 4,they seem to validate the tht concept.The
follow-up tests do not really follow -up on how force could be applied as with the thumb
type action (Nyman only further investigates applying force with extension or internal
rotation,neither of which is this thumb type action).

This Bonds clip shows thumb type mechanics for me,and many are like this.
