Curve/hook of a ball hit

Posted by: Jose Barba (nevisjoseb@yahoo.com) on Thu May 15 12:57:41 2008

Dear Jack,

I've noticed that a lot of the hard hit balls I hit tend to curve or hook diagonally on their way down. This happens quite often. Is this bad? In watching other hitters, their shots seem to arch at more of a straight up/down trajectory with little to none diagonal curve/hook on their way down. Is there something wrong with my mechanics? Am I doing something wrong at the point of contact? Is it my bat speed? Or, should I not worry about this?
