How ever every thing he hits is going down the first base line no matter how fast or slow the pitcher is. Now the pitchers in the league are naturally pitching him on the inside corner of the plate wich of course makes this issue even more evident. Any suggestions on what might be causing the issue without seeing him bat? Oh yeah, when he hits off of the Tee, he can hit straight.

Chris,

I am sure others on this board can give you some good pointers on guessing at the mechanics. However, I am going to suggest any even more simple piece of advice which is to have him step back from the plate a little. If they are pitching him inside, this should help him see the ball better and give him time to turn on it. It usually best to avoid making wholesale changes to a swing especially this late in the season. Hope this helps.

Hope this helps,

Jack
