Hi Ranger

I think you are on the right track. Hitting the ball above or below the centerline probably has a greater impact on ball flight than a level or slight up-slope plane at contact. Maximum flight distance requires an upward trajectory in the 35-degree range. A ball hit in the center with an up-slope of 15-degree is still in the line drive trajectory.
