Positioning of the lead arm

Posted by: Jeremy () on Fri Feb 4 17:33:23 2005

Hi, Jack. I have heard you preach "keeping the lead arm tight to the body," and I agree with this principle. However, should the batter ALWAYS try to keep the lead arm tight to the body all throughout the swing (obviously there will be some separation), or just at the start?

If it is only at the start, when can the batter allow his lead arm to naturally move away from the chest?
