Sounds typical to me . Here's my 2 cents. Some kids are so cool its like whats the big deal? others are so uptight they squeek when they walk. My own boy 13 is like the latter. He is comfortable at practice but in a game you see the difference. He actually does best when I tell him ,just have fun! He only sees about 13 games a year, Rec, and about 7 official practices. I work w/ him all the time on hitting when I can persuade him to practice. He,s getting to the age when he will need to decide what he wants. He really does like to play but I dont believe he likes the stress of competition in baseball and we do, can, make it that way dont we? The only way I can see my boy at this stage moving on is if he himself requests to practice more and also if he sees continual different unknown pitchers to get over his discomfort. and stay cool. I hope for your boy that he continues to want it and stay w/ the best game in sports. Anyone else have this issue?
