>>> MY son, currently playing college ball, is a converted righty who used to hit with power, but in college switched to the left side to boost batting average by better utilizing his speed. However, all he hits now are weak grond balls with the occasinal line drive. He will not turn back righty so what can he do to start getting the ball in the air? <<<

Hi Tom

From your account, it is obvious that switching to the other side resulted in major changes in your son’s swing mechanics. It would just be speculation on my part to offer advice without seeing his swing. I would suggest he review video clips (frame-by-frame) for differences in his two swings. To cause that much change in performance, the discrepancies should be easily spotted.
