My little league team and junior high baseball team have used the Pro-Batter in Dayton, OH. it really is the most realistic batting practice you can get. the pitching machine is synchronized with a video of an actual life size pitcher in his wind-up or stretch (lefty or righty), and pitching machine releases ball from a hole in screen at the exact time the pitcher would release the ball in the video. you hit actual baseballs. you can select speed, location (strike zone is divided into 7 zones - you select a zone and it pitches it there very consistently), and type of pitch (fastball, curve, slider, slurve, and change-up). it is awesome. just to give my kids an idea what a good college curveball looks like, I set the machine for a 75mph curve. it broke about 2 feet, and was virtually unhittable.
