Tom,

Respectfully, it is clear that you do not understand the efficient hand paths and leverage I teach.....and truly, the efficient hand path is not as complicated as in your description in the thread....nor is the hand path I teach a "long radius" nor is it of "longer duration".....quite the opposite in fact.

Review the information here http://www.peavynet.com/news.htm including all my hitting articles such as "Batspeed..What Really Makes It", for a better understanding of the pursuit curve and hand paths.

I have been very busy this season and just got back from hitting schools in Oregon and other places. All of my time is spent on teaching....and this is the absolute first time I even had a chance to review the "thread" at batspeed.

Please understand that I very rarely have time to review threads on boards and cannot answer questions posed there very often.

However, you may ask your questions directly at smarty1@mindspring.com and I will always do my best to answer. I can also be reached at www.peavynet.com

Please realize that I get 175 emails a day and I am instructing tons of students and teams....so I do my best to respond to email.

Also, per your questions...I have no relation with Lau...although I have a tremendous respect for Lau, Sr., who was ahead of his time in his approach and obviously, based on some comments I have read at various places, clearly not understood....but, I do not base my findings on any one approach or person...I base them on good science, research using my independent batspeed studies, high speed motion analysis as at www.peavynet.com and good physics.....as well as the final results.....production.......

My students are having stellar seasons, so the facts are coming in....what I teach works.....
