Hi Fiveframeswing

The “hook” is that area of the swing where the forward advancement of the lead-hand ceases and is being pulled rearward from the rotation of the lead-shoulder. Although Pete Rose’s mechanics does not produce as great a hook pattern as exhibited in the swing of power hitters, the overhead clips below may explain the hook and its relationship to BHT further.
