something that should be done or not? If not, what should the back foot be doing? Thanks! <<<

Hi Butts

Like many other batting cues, whether or not “squishing the bug" produces good results depends on how each person interprets it. There is rotation on the ball of the back-foot during the swing. When and why it occurs is where coaches differ. I do not find it necessary to mention the back-foot when working with a batter. It occurs naturally during hip and shoulder rotation with the correct vision and use of the lead-side.
