right handed hitting vs. left handed hitting

I play college baseball at a junior college. I am a middle infielder throw right bat left with good speed player. I've struggled all my life with being able to hit the ball the other way consistently. I work on it all the time, and when i say all the time i mean all the time. Also, I am a pretty solid build and have lots of strength but am more of a singles hitter, occasional doubles and one or two home runs a year. I've come to realize that I am probably supposed to be a right handed hitter due to i golf right handed and everything else right handed. My eye hand seems to better from the right side, and not that golf has a lot to do with baseball, but left handed i drive a ball about 225 yds. and right handed nearly 300 consistently. I am 19 years old and am just wondering what some of your opinions are and should I make the transition to the right side of the plate. It seems my right arm and way stronger than my left arm so I am always pulling off and dropping the bat head. Also I hear you drive throught the ball with your back arm so my left arm doesn't really do much of that.
