impact position/etc.

I am a firm believer in your hitting theory. A few questions:

1. Your illistration shows the impact position of the top arm bent. This position is natural on the inside pitch and the pitch over the plate, but does this apply to the outside pitch as well ? I have seen versions of certain Barry Bonds home runs on tape with his left arm straight at impact - a low outside pitch outside of the zone. His finish on the ouside pitch wasn't as pronounced either - his belt buckle ended up pointed to the shortstop. Please explain.
