I would like to emphasize the importance of the mechanics described here in allowing the hitter to "Handle" the outside pitch.I would urge you especially to review the comments and demonstrations by John Elliott on Final Arc 2 on how these mechanics make hitting the outside pitch with power possible (long radius/heavy load situation), and how important this is to a hitters success.It is very hard to succeed if you only hit the inside stuff hard.
