My speculation is that the optimal combo (for power swing) of short swing path and quick acceleration requires a "chp" for the necessary acceleration which is via good body coil/uncoil/transfer.Degree of separation/coil is far less important than efficient dynamics of coil (xfactor stretch/posture change for adequate momentum transfer well directed,momentum has direction).Transfer mechanics require circular or tightening handpath to prevent disconnection or deceleration prior to contact.Primary goal is to minimize timing error for power swing.
