Hi Ray

Your post read, “A" to "B" is shorter, therefore can be quicker, and gives us greater odds for timing contact”. In the publication I have read, taking the hands from “A" to "B" meant the batter should extends his hands in a straight line (shortest path) from launch to contact.

Since Bonds, and even a contact hitter like Rose, take their hands in a more circular path, you must obviously have a different definition for “A" to "B". I could see nothing to be gained in pursuing it.
