If this were resync'ed to put both players' heel down moment at the same time, you'd see a very similar swing. Yes, the amateur strides / weight shifts. But from heel down they are similar. So the amateur must start earlier to get to the heel down point at the right time.

Without knowing anything about the other hitter etc., do both swings have the same number of frames?, is this hitter similar in size, I wouldn't draw any hard conclusion.

But' the amuteur has a very poor lower body. And as Tom pointed out he is rotating front to back, opening way to early, never leads with the hips or positions them correctly. Looks like he is more concerned with just using the legs and draging/pulling everything through.
