They both have alo of power but it seems like Josh hamilton uses alot of top hand torque while justin does not. The both use he the lead arm great but josh seems to add top hand torque to his swing. I may be wrong but is that what is going on. If possible please put on some video. <<<

Mike and Carlos. There is no doubt that Josh Hamilton has more of a whip (live bat) to his swing than Justin Morneau. And perhaps these are more of the principles Jack enforces. But one thing is perfectly clear. And that is that both hitters are great modern day hitters regardless of the technique differences.

Justin Morneau in my opinion uses more raw strength. He is so strong that he can take a basic set up at the plate and merely step and swing. There is much less that he has to do than a normal player (it would appear). His mechanics are good, yet he does not have to get caught up in mechanics. He is more of a Ken Griffey Jr. (See the ball, hit the ball. Josh as exhibited under (YOU-TUBE) is more technical.

Morneau attacks the ball whereas Hamilton slices through the ball.
