Giambi says that trying to hit to all fields/spray hit did not work for him.After talking things over with Mattingly and Big Mac,he decided that this was making him miss too many inside pitches.Big Mac noticed especially he was further off the plate than in the past.

Now he has bellied up more and tries to hit the ball between right field and left center.
