Heavy Bag ideas

I need some ideas on how to set up a heavy bag. I have a bag about 8 inches in diameter, about 2 and a half feet long filled with old clothes, but it's too light to hang, and not sturdy and tall enough to sit on the ground. I was thinking of tying those stretch bands around a pole or something sturdy like that. Anymore ideas?
