Hey, I've been thinking about this wt. shift and back foot movement a lot lately, I spoke with a coach recently who does a lot of batting instruction and learnt from him that 1st is the to load up(the trigger) with the hips, not the shoulders, then stride with the front leg/foot keeping it closed is ok, then turn the hips, then shoulders, then swing or follow thru. One thing he didn't mention was the back foot and I'm trying to figure out does the back foot turn to push the hips around or is it being pulled around as a result of the momentum of pushing off the ball of your back foot??? shaun
