hey kurt i was reading your post and i agree with what you say but you forgot a few things.the sweet spot on the ball that williams mentions in his book.two forcing a kid to swing a way with which he may not be comftable,ted always mentioned and said to pl;ayers don;t let anybody mess with you swing and if the swing isn;t natural it isn;t any good for a hitter.be natural ted said.the length of the swing.the greatest short swing i ever seen belonged to paul molitor .10 of a second through ther strike zone,beatiful rotation style hitting,.the length of the swing is open to debate the faster you can swing the longer a swing you can have.ted had a long swing and he wanted one because he felt it could help him get the ball into the air for the hr.if you shorten the swing too much and swinging down your chopping wood that's no good either.
