I think the front shoulder should be slightly closed at the point of contact, along with the front foot. Morgan Ensberg couldn't stay closed in the series.. kept pulling off the ball...unlike MVP G. Dye... who had many hits up the middle and to right field.
So lining th shoulders up with the pitcher is a myth.. it's where the front shoulder is when you make contact. ~In my opinion~
