Thank you for the comment. Certainly the rules of physics do apply to the baseball swing. If I really had the motivation I could give a detailed explanation for every physical principle I'm appealing to, but I don't care that much about proving the validity of my description of the swing to some folks on a message board. I simply put my description out there hoping for people to criticize it; learning from their criticisms I try to explain myself more clearly, or analyze swings more carefully to see where I'm wrong.
