Slapshot = Rotational?

Posted by: Chris O'Leary (chris@chrisoleary.com) on Fri Feb 3 08:23:55 2006

I have been trying to avoid watching my (completely horrible) St. Louis Blues like the plague. It's just too painful.

However, I accidentally caught a bit last night's game and I saw something that I thought my be interesting. When watching guys hit slapshots, it looked to me like they were doing something things that were rotational in nature.

For example, they seemed to pivot around the front leg.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is this relevant?
