Lifting the back heel ? Something new ?? I hope not. I hope you don't confuse being on the balls of your feet and the weight shift loading action with a conscious action of lifting the back heel. I'd be concerned about a back heel lift because often times, the head may rise with the heel. Gotta keep the head/eyes from bouncing around. Regarding the front foot, try to teach kids to be on the ball of the foot. By nature of the weight distribution and loading action, the front foot could appear off the ground. Further, guys like Mel Ott completely lifted the front leg/ foot while loading the weight back starting the body torque winding action.
