Thanks, to all of you. My head is spinning a bit but I think I may have found a new topic as my main past time. I never appreciated how much "science" goes into hitting a baseball. I think sites like this are what make the internet worth its weight. Has anyone ever tried to write a primer for parents and coaches to teach this method to younger kids. I'm having trouble digesting all the data and I wouldn't even know where to begin to teach my 8 year old this method. The one concept I have tried to introduce to him is the concept of twisting your body and not just your hands and arms.It seems that kids can get these advanced concepts easier than most adults, including my self, because I have noticed him spinning around an imaginary pole through his body more than just a few days ago.

Another question. What would be the sign of someone "over swinging"? It seems that he has a tendency to swing too hard at times and pull his head up and out.

Thanks again, boy is this great!
