>i think that mike schmidt's book describes the puopose of the forward momentum pretty good....it has less to do with adding force to the swing and has a lot to do with what tim olson has referred to as the timing adjustment...i don't think the front foot is like a brick wall stopping you from going forward any further if you need for the body to go forward a little further (like an outside pitch)...and of course we are talking about about a foot or so.....respectfully, grc.....
