Actually, I have worked on check swings. I do them all the time, but it's a little bit hard to do them with dry swings (I haven't had anybody to make me check swing with a moving ball- not lately and not consistently enough to give you an accurate answer) I would agree with you to stride on every pitch. Timing is such a hard thing to master!!
