I don't buy the argument that the rotational swing leads to more strikeouts. Yesterday I
saw my daughter, (not a gifted athlete) her first year in the LL majors (10 yr old), hit a
grand slam going 3 for 3. I've been teaching her rotational mechanics, but that's not the
be-all, end-all of training. I use other tools, the hit-2-win tool has been very effective at
helping her with eye-bat coordination. I also do soft-toss and fastpitch batting practice
with golf ball-sized whiffle balls. I've had better results from this than working the batting
cages.
