> I coach a 6 year old baseball team. Our boys have really grasped the fundamentals of the game and seem to be doing very well. In our league we get 3 pitches and 2 off of a tee if needed. Our boys rarely have to hit off of a tee. next year we have the choice of player pitch or coach pitch. We have a few parents pressing us to move to player pitch. My gut feeling is that it would do our team more good to spend one more year in coach pitch and work on more skills. Any suggestions or thoughts on this decission?

As a parent who has experienced both, I HIGHLY recommend going coach pitch another year! Kid pitch will help only the kids who pitch and (IMHO)will hurt or hinder the rest of the team. The kids are so young, let them hit and field! Kid pitch will slow the game down and kids that young need to be kept interested.
