rotational mechanics

I think I cant really grasp how to get a rotational swing. Could someone please list the most important parts in a rotational swing? I would really apreciate this. How important is a CHP rather than a straight hand path to the ball? Please rpely. Thanks!

P.S. - Is Alfonso Soriano a rotational hitter? If he is, then that would mean he has a CHP right? (sorry, I am very new to this stuff, you can probably tell. :-)
