Hitting Patterns

Posted by: Jimmy () on Wed Jun 14 12:47:10 2006

OK, so my son is a 10 yr old who makes very consistent contact...great hand-eye.

If he has a flaw that I've been able to pick up its hitting off his front foot...not staying back around that stationary axis.
However his hitting pattern lately is what is perplexing me.

He tends to hit grounders to the left side (he's a righty) but pop up to the right side. In fact he's been popping up to second a lot, even in the cage, half of his contact seems to be pop ups to the right side.

Based on this pattern, any comments regarding what he is likely doing that results in this consistent hitting pattern?
