Re: Grip

Hi,

Really as I understand, see it, and used myself there are two accepted grips that are dependent on preference.

First: if you look at the anatomy of your hand many MLB and hitters alike, like to line up their "knocking knuckles" to keep the bat out of the palm of your hands and focused more in the fingers. This keeps the bat speed at the highest level more consistently.

Second: a square grip whereby the bottom hand "big knuckles" line up with the top hand "knocking knuckles". This is used by MLB hitters and other hitters alike as well.

If you don't already have a grip that is comfortable, then experiment with both and go with whichever feels best.

One final note: I have found a pair of hitting gloves that will "force" a solid grip with either of the two above described methods. The batting gloves are called "Turbo Slot" and come with a raised soft pad in the web of the fingers between the thumb and first finger. These are great so that it forces the person wearing the gloves to keep some distance between the palm of the hand and the bat...automatically leaving the bat more in the fingers than the palm You can literally see a difference in bat speed / power with the gloves on than with the gloves off. They are league approved and one of the best new offerings I have seen in some time.

I hope this helps.

Just a few thoughts.....

> I cant find anywhere on your site that discusses grip. Where should the knuckles lineup? Is this mearly style - or does one grip aid in torque more than others?
