One of the problems that kids trying to learn rotational hitting find is bat wrapping. It comes from trying to rotate the hips early while still loading the bat...the shoulders continue to turn. Consequently, the swing becomes way too long and the hitter, as they get older, can't adjust to pitchers who can change speed. My son, who took rotational hitting instruction for 3 years, is still trying to overcome bat wrapping and spinning...the only reason that I post on this site is to warn parents that "rotational hitting" is not perfect. In some cases it can cause more problems. Hitting is far more than simple bat speed. Make sure that your hitting instructors are "baseball men" who understand the whole game....on this site, read ScottW or Joe Hernandez.
