I have foud that improvement in timing is best done facing live pitching, and against differing windups. Learning to get in sync with the pitcher's rythm is all important.
The hitter has to tune into that rythm on the bench, and in the batting circle,...before their first at bat. And of all the hitting skills,- it is among the more difficult to master.
