I was actually enthused by this topic because I actually do this to have fun and test my clients strength. I've got a few hitters/buddies of mine that can hit a ball from home plate, off the tee, over the fence into the gaps on a 375 fence. Now granted these guys are playing in the minors at 23 and 24, but its still amazing to watch it happen. My point for Bruce is your boy is 5'11" and 140lbs. I'm 5'11" and 190 pounds and can barely clear it 345ft. I'm working with kid right now who is 6'2" 165lbs. as a incoming freshmen. He hits it around 280+. Your boy has got a great upside with his body but he's not fully developed into a man yet. Let growth take place, continue to put him on a good baseball workout program and see what happens within the next 3 years. My opinion 280 is good for hitting off the tee at his age.
