WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO EXPLAIN TO A KID ON HOW TO GET HIS WEIGHT BACK, I HAVE A VERY GOOD CONTACT HITTER ON MY TEAM BUT HE HAS NO BACKWARD MOVEMENT AT ALL ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Like everything, it takes time & practice to get use to this stance. If you look at Derek Jeter, he is a good example of a player keeping his weight on his back foot by constantly lifting his front foot.

Jeff,

Tell the kid to keep his head over his back foot and keep it there.
