I will assume now that you are saying that the lower body adds POWER to the swing as it rotates the shoulders and arms around to hit the ball. So POWER comes from the large muscles as they rotate the shoulders and arms around to the lag position and then the release of the wrists (wrist snap) brings the bat to the hitting zone. <

In the post you refer to, Jim and I are discussing initiation mechanics that accelerate the bat-head rearward toward the lag position. I certainly did not mean to imply that shoulder rotation only powered the bat rearward to the lag position. Shoulder rotation is also the main power source from the lag position to contact.

I do not accept the concept that energy can be stored in the bat that accelerates it by the "release of the wrist (wrist snap)." The bat will have developed angular momentum at the lag position as a product of its mass and angular velocity. However, momentum tends to keep the velocity of mass constant - not accelerate it. If we cease to apply energy to the bat at the lag position, the bat would tend to maintain that angular velocity to contact.
