Jack, we have extensively reviewed your video about the function of the back arm and have concluded that the aspect of keeping the back elbow "back" is one of the main keys to hitting outside pitches hard.

It creates enormous plate coverage. The traditional technique teaches hitters to slot or tuck the elbow on every swing, then arc out for outside pitches. That is poor technique - the trajectory of the swing is already set by then, it is impossible to reach far enough, and good bat speed cannot be obtained.

I was very reluctant at first, figuring it would take a pupil many months to learn what seemed like a very difficult muscle memory task. Even with my average-at-best coaching skills, I found that a moderately gifted hitter was able to comprehend and execute in one hitting session. His "blind spot" low and away began to disappear as he hit them consistently, and then consistently hard.

Jack, do you not find it amazing how fast they learn when the swing starts to flow free and easy and powerful and the ball starts rocketing away?
