Re: Hitting grounders

"I just can't seem to hit the ball square" why? BECAUSE this system SLINGS the head of the bat at the ball. In order to gain any decent chance of regular contact there MUST be SOME directing of the head of the bat at the ball BY THE HANDS! A PURE rotational system is as disasterous as a PURE linear system. Example of a pure linear system? THE BUNT! You couldnt make it to the next level bunting all the time and you sure will not with this system.

Even jack admitted that he was "a better hitter" when he held the bat tight. Holding the bat tight is a component of a LINEAR system.

To move to the next level, whatever that might be, you MUST make contact MORE than "once in a while".

Adopt some sort of reasonable compromise based on your body type and natural tendencies! Good luck Max!

For some reason, I'm hitting grounders now (pretty hard grounders). I know my swing plane is the same as the ball path, but I seem to be getting inline a little too high. It's really freaky cuzz it just started to happen about a week ago. I know I'm mechanically correct, but I just can't seem to hit the ball square. Once in a while I hit it square, when I do I really connect.
