Hi Shawn

You are right regarding the inside pitch. The lead-arm will need to remain more flexed to allow a tighter hand-path. In order to generate good bat speed from the shorter arc radius of the hand-path, it is necessary to allow the bat-head to travel a litter further and pull the ball instead of hitting straight-away. Whenever a batter pulls the ball, the back-elbow will need to slide forward a couple of more inches and will be slightly past the side. --- Arron's more vertical body angle also has the back-elbow somewhat more forward at contact.
